Christine studied at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music and at the University of Adelaide with Zdenek Bruderhans. In Adelaide she worked with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the State Opera of South Australia Orchestra. From 1981 to 1986 she was a member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Christine has been a member of the cotemporary music group Sonic Art Ensemble (formerly The Seymour Group) since 1982. She has appeared as guest artist with Synergy, Perehelion, Symeron and The Song Company. She has also worked with the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra In 1992 Christine founded Tucana Flute Quartet. She has written several quartets for Tucana as well as solos, works for flute and piano and three pieces for flute and storyteller. In 1999 Christine won first prize in the Australian Flute Composition Competition for her solo flute piece Melusina's Dream. Her most recent work is Two Fires Suite for solo flute, inspired by the poems of Judith Wright. Together with Rosamund Plummer Christine has written Practical Studies for the Advanced Flautist.
