The Festival 2009
Friday October 1st — 3rd 2011, ANU School of Music, Canberra
The Junior Programme of the 2009 Australian Flute Festival will be held on Saturday October 3rd 2009 with short rehearsals for the Closing Concert on the following two days.
Age range for the programme is 10 - 16 years old with a playing standard of approximately grade 3-6 AMEB or equivalent
Junior Participants are entitled to attend sessions from the main festival programme, however, Junior Participants will be expected to attend the entire Junior Day plus the rehearsals on Day 2 and 3 for the Closing Concert. Any exemptions from this arrangement must first be obtained from Peter Bartels before registering as a Junior Participant.
It is strongly recommended that students at the upper end of either the age range or playing standard contact Peter directly to ensure their suitability for the programme.
Juniors attending the main festival program must be accompanied by their own parent/guardian. Parents accompanying their children to the main festival need to register for the festival (parent concessions available).
The Junior Participants will be performing at the Opening and Closing Concerts of the festival. Parents need to purchase tickets if they wish to attend the concert.
Anyone registered for the junior programme needs to fill in the Junior Health Form and post it to
