    Are you an aspiring orchestral flautist? Here is your opportunity to apply for a screened mock orchestral flute audition to be held during the Australian Flute Festival 2009.

    Selection

    • 6 applicants will be short listed by the ASO flute section
    • Those applicants not short listed for this audition will have their fee refunded

    Excerpts

    • A set of excerpts will be sent to the 6 short listed applicants by September 11th, 2009

    Rounds

    • A ballot will determine the order of each applicant
    • There will be 2 rounds with 2 players progressing to Round 2
    • The players will be selected by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra flute section

    Feedback

    • The applicants will receive verbal feedback from the section at the conclusion of the audition

    Audience

    • The audience will be able to observe both the applicants and the panel during the screened audition. Copies of the excerpts will be available for the audience

    Are you an aspiring orchestral flautist? This workshop will be a very valuable experience for you and give you an insight into how the excerpts fit into the rest of the flute section. Excerpts will be provided in advance. During the workshop each applicant will have the opportunity of playing selected excerpts with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Symphony flute section.

    Selection

    • Participants will be selected by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra flute section. 6 players will be chosen
    • Those applicants not short listed for the workshop will have their fee refunded

    Excerpts

    • Excerpts will be available by September 11th, 2009

    Feedback

    • There will be feedback and advice from each ASO player. This will occur throughout the workshop
