The 2011 Junior Day Program is an exciting opportunity for young flute players from all over Australia to come and dive right in to wild and wonderful ways of making music on the flute. Each and every young flute player will have hands on experience during the workshop sessions culminating in a thrilling afternoon concert where the day’s hard work will dazzle audiences. The program is open to players between 8-16 years old with a minimum playing standard of approximately 3rd grade AMEB.

The Junior Day Programme is being run by Shaun Barlow who is a professional flute player based in Sydney. Shaun specialises in contemporary music, flute beatboxing, collaborating with composers and exploring the endless multitude of sounds available from the flute.
