Masterclasses

• Flute & Piccolo - there will be several masterclasses throughout the Festival. Guest master teachers will include Michael Cox, Marianne Gedigian, Alexa Still, Virginia Taylor, Alan Hardy, Julia Grenfell, Vernon Hill and Michael Waye. One flute class will be devoted to the study of the Prokoviev Sonata.
• Junior - Brett Thompson from the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music will take this class. Four or five participants will be chosen for this class.
• Orchestral - these classes will be intensive, giving applicants the opportunity to play in a flute section situation with Michael Cox. Excerpts will be sent in advance to applicants for these classes.
• Places will be limited and performers will be selected by a committee formed by the Artistic Director. If you are not selected to perform in a masterclass, your masterclass fee will be refunded.
