Plus, you’ll have access to repertoire before the day, then head home with a bag of tricks and a fresh boost of inspiration to keep playing. And the best part? After all the excitement, you get to watch concerts and masterclasses and think, "I just learned how to do that!” Get ready to dive deep into some serious flute skills—but with a twist! It’s all about learning through games, interactive play, and tons of fun.

8-9am REGISTRATION

9-10am French Flute School Class- Fun style

Start the day with a French Flute School Tone Class, but NOT traditional style! Explore a range of tone colours in a fun way to use in your practice and put it in your flute tool box.

10-10.45 Ensemble Class

Bring a piece to life in the ensemble class.

10.45-11 BREAK

11-12pm Adaptable Phrasing Session

Discover phrasing patterns that you can apply to lots of pieces.

12-12.45 Ensemble Class

Let’s polish up our ensemble piece for the concert later today.

12.45-1.45 LUNCH

1.45-2.30pm Styling Session

Are you keen to try different styles of music? Folk? Jazz? What about extended flute techniques? Mix and match and come away with some new tips and tricks to add to your playing.

2.30-3.30pm 1000 Pieces You Should Learn Before You Die

There are some amazing pieces out there that are part of the standard repertoire, for good reason!

Ok sure, we can’t cover a THOUSAND pieces today, but you can definitely put some of them on your “Must Learn List”. Discover or revisit some of this repertoire and see what you can uncover in it, and how can you apply that to new works. Play some of these pieces or play all of them!
